Sophie's Choice {spotlight}

While working a trunk show yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Tracie Graham of Sophie's Choice
{I love meeting talented, entrepranour moms from adorable small towns}.
She had a beautiful spread at the show along with a lovely variety of products that she makes and sells.

I wanted to buy it all.
{literally}
& cannot wait to buy away again soon!

I dipped away in a little of these...

Oh & there is more!

I fell in love with

As per Tracie's page, she is 110% correct;
"Few Kids would turn down the opportunity to assist in the kitchen. The best part of these simple cooking projects is that they actually teach kids educational math concepts through measuring, inspire creativity through designing and in and instill a lifelong interest in cooking -  all while spending quality time together!"

Luckily, I had a birthday party to attend for Avery's best bud.  I had the hardest time deciding b/c they were all so cute.  Here is what I picked:

Like I said, how do you choose between all that cuteness?

Visit the Kid's section for more---even adorable holiday sets.

I cannot wait to buy more from Tracie.
You can order directly through her website or find her products at Ella Minnow Pea in Kingston, TN.

Are you as hungry as me now?

XOXO,
Kate

Where I come from

I haven't blogged in a while
b/c I am in Pennsylvania.
Yup, where I come from.
Where family comes first
& my memories are the
reason I am a mother.
Where morals are acted upon
& togetherness is more important
than anything else.

In love.

PJ pant headbands

I wanted to make these super long {always tripping on} PJ pants into a capri length.
did that,
then used the remaining material for this super cute headband.
{tutorial coming soon}
not much sewing involved at all.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

         Similar ideas coming soon.
{think: 'what would a 3 year old girl ask for'}
XOXO,
Kate

the day after...truly thankful.

Yesterday was amazing.
 Quite honestly, I was a ball of nerves.  I have been able to handle some of the most difficult pressures in my previous line of work, but yesterday was a change.
a new challenge.
an unknown.
I guess I always plan for the worst & hope for the best
 {something my mom has taught me just in case I am not disappointed}.
my heart is fragile so this outlook works for me.
for now.

It's amazing who comes through when there is something important in your life.
Sometimes its the best of friends
& sometimes its new friends.
Sometimes its people that don't even know you
& sometimes its people who know how to read you like a book.

Yes-the orders mean the world to me
{what, I can feed my kids}?
However, what means even more are the emails,
texts,
phone calls,
Facebook comments,
just the checking in
the 'good lucks',
the 'rock it out girl.'
the 'I am so proud of you.'
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
from the bottom of my swanky little heart.

In closing, I want to express my gratitude, appreciation, love and excitement
to my new Swanky Baby Vintage family.
We were all there for one another yesterday.
helping one another answer questions,
referring appropriate people to consultant locations,
and just giving one another
a pat-on-the-back
through the phone or email.

A special shout-out to my favorite lil consultants from all over;
Lora and Mandi of Tennessee,
Kelsey of Utah,
& April of Georgia.
& to my Corporate Consultant,
Winter
& our company owner,
Holli.

XOXO,
Kate

favorite four $ frame.

While @ a local thrift store this week, I knew I had to have this frame.
I mean look @ that detail?
sigh...
It had no price, but she said she'd find one for me & it'd be @ the check-out
{huge fear sinks in; what if its $10, I can't do $10}
Nope,
$4.
{gasp}
I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

I am learning that there is nothing you cannot do
without a lil bit of paint
{& a lot of love}.
XOXO,
Kate

My summer babies...

I am lucky to have a very talented husband who can capture the beauty of my children

Thank you, Chris.
